SEO CodeBreaker – Topic 1 SEO Basics and Overview
By | February 22, 2010
Issac Frost asked:
Let’s discuss the first set of videos off the forth coming SEO CodeBreaker program, which I have had the pleasure of seeing. Topic 1 of the SEO CodeBreaker program deals with the general basics. It’s starting at 0 folks. So when a person watches this part off the video they have to make a wipe off their mind and take in the information. Advanced users may be turned off and might want to jump into the juicy stuff but its advised to observe them so when the advanced section comes up the person have already grasped the core fundamentals of the program. Topic 1 is basic information but for the complete newcomer its quite useful SEEING it and HEARING it rather then READING it.
Why is it better to see and hear it? Because humans tend to memorize and grasp concepts faster when seeing them in action while hearing them. This may be the actual clue off the SEO CodeBreaker program. Charles Kirkman is approaching a different avenue to teaching people about a particular subject, in this case cracking the SEO.
The first set of videos comes from Topic 1. We kept the details to a minimum to protect Charles Kirkman work.
1. Welcome to the SEO CodeBreaker family! This video gives you a quick rundown about what SEO is all about.
- This first video is a general welcome to the program. It also discusses Black Hat vs White Hat. Many people ask themselves, which one is better? Charles Kirkman draws the line on this subject answering this ages old debate.
2. What are search engines and how do they work? Before you can achieve search engine success you need to understand how they work and most importantly that they are based on a business model.
- The second video touches on some basic facts about how Search Engines work. It discusses how Search Engines perform four core functions and how Search Engines are in this for the money just like you are. A newcomer will find this very useful information, advanced users will see this as either a refresher course or something unnecessary. but given Charles is guiding the newcomer by the hand it is expected that this section would be there.
3. Do you really know the difference from a search engine and a directory. Most people don’t understand the difference and use the words interchangeably.
- The third video talks about the difference on Search Engines and directories. Search Engines actively seek websites, directories only work when people submit things to them. Some people use these terms as if they where the same when they are in fact very different from each other.
4. A simple overview of the steps in an SEO project. Before you begin any SEO project you need to know what will be involved.
- The beginning of the real meat of the SEO CodeBreaker. Charles Kirkman begins to get into detail about the simple steps in any SEO project. Without these fundamentals it will be like dialing the wrong number combination even when you have the right numerals. It is important to understand the right order in which to work with a SEO.
At the moment Topic 1 of the SEO CodeBreaker program is fundamental stuff, quite basic and useful for complete newcomers and even for advanced users to know just exactly where the much advanced terms and techniques come from much later on. However this is not quite enough to convince me. As a person who has worked closely with marketing I know how much ‘hype’ promoters and marketers can do for a particular product. So does this product live up to the hype? It certainly is at the moment. But there are things that still require for one to dig deeper. One must know the motivations behind this product. Is it for the money? A half baked scheme to cash in on the situation concerning the difficulty of SEO? What will make this different from the multiple programs out there?
For one as stated this is not a book. But rather a set of videos. This makes the learning process interactive rather then ‘boring’ as some people might find from reading an e-book. Furthermore the fact that the members see and hear everything that is being done offers a faster way to learning how to deal with a SEO then a book would have ever accomplished. For the time being I keep myself apprehensive on this product. It might be the next hit or it might just sink. Time will tell.
